Philadelphia, circa 1820

Lyre Base Work Table with turreted corners and two drawers. The uppermost drawer has a fitted interior, and both drawers retaining what appears to be their original brass knobs. The pedestal consists of two open ormolu trimmed lyres with brass strings in a block of ebony, resting upon a square plinth with ormolu mounted on its face. The plinth is supported by four brass rosette trimmed over-curling sabre legs which terminate in brass animal paw casters.
