The late 19th C. English mahogany dining table extends to 155” long, with seating for 18 provided by chairs made in New York, circa 1815. Miss Ima Hogg, a resident of the Mansion when her father was governor from 1891-95, donated the sideboard and a pair of vases on the west mantel. The portraits of John and William Wharton, brothers for whom Wharton County is named, hang over the fireplace mantels.
