Circa 1810-1815
Sheraton mahogany carved upholstered sofa. Horizontal paneled crest rail with star punch background is centered with cornucopia carving of wheat and vases and flanked by end panels of flowing vines and grapes. The mahogany armrests have scrolled terminals resting on bulbous leaf carved urn turned arm supports. The carving is attributed to Samuel McIntire, Salem, Massachusetts.
